|Palace Resorts in Mexico Becoming Hard Rock Hotels
The three Palace Resorts in Cancun, the Riviera Maya, and Puerto Vallarta will be rebranded as Hard Rock Hotels in 2012, starting with the luxury Cancun hotel. All of the hotels will remain open during the transition, which will include the addition of Rock Star Suites and Hard Rock's iconic memorabilia throughout the properties. All three also will begin hosting live music performances once they become Hard Rock Hotels.
The Hard Rock Cancun will have 601 guestrooms featuring private balconies and water views, five restaurants (including a new Brazilian steakhouse), five bars and lounges, a spa with outdoor palapa-style massage areas, and a 16,408-square-foot convention center.
Hard Rock Riviera Maya will combine two adjacent Palace Resorts properties, the Aventura Cove Palace (Book Now) and Aventura Spa Palace (Book Now). The former will offer 489 rooms, three restaurants including a new dinner theatre venue, four bars, multiple pools, water activities, and family-friendly amenities such as a teen club with gaming cabanas. The latter, to be marketed to adults, will have 777 guest rooms, four restaurants, four bars, a grotto pool that will become a club at night, and an expansive health spa.
